Search and display laws by entering a legal term (keyword) that appears in the law or search by law title, law number, category of law, or organization in charge of translation.

Entering a keyword sets the titles and texts of the laws as the search parameters.
When entering two or more keywords, separate them with a space.
Entering a keyword with only halfwidth characters ("stock", for example) sets the English translations of the laws as the search parameters. Entering keywords with both fullwidth and halfwidth characters ("株式 stock", for example) and selecting "Include any keyword" as a search condition sets both the Japanese laws and their English translations as the search parameters, and searches for all keywords at once.

Translation of laws and regulations is carried out in accordance with the plan (Translation Development Plan) decided by the "Liaison Conference of Relevant Ministries and Agencies on the Development of Infrastructure for Promoting Translation of Laws and Regulations into Foreign Languages".
Tentative Translations: Any translation that the title of a law indicates to be a tentative translation has not yet been proofread or corrected by a native English speaker or legal translation expert; this translation may be revised in the future.
Citation, Reproduction and Reprinting: The data contained in the Japanese Law Translation Database System may be cited, reproduced, or reprinted in accordance with the Terms of Use.
